# Create a Memory Store working ref

> Branch a `session/<session-id>` working ref from the store's exact current canonical revision so one Session accumulates changes without sharing live edits with concurrent sessions. Returns the new MemoryRef pinned at its base revision. Send `Idempotency-Key`; a read-only clamp on the store answers `memory.read_only`.

Checkfu support posture: preview; rollout_fenced. Required evidence journey: memory-stores. Deployment-specific readiness and the latest proven release are available from GET /v1/support/capabilities.
