The optional `owner` query filters to presences owner-scoped to exactly that Principal — the "your machine is connected" check for a person's paired Runner; workspace-scoped presences never match an owner filter. Presence is a disposable expiring readiness projection with a short TTL — it is never a Run or lease authority, and a missing entry means only that no recent heartbeat arrived. Checkfu support posture: preview; rollout_fenced. Required evidence journey: managed-runner.
