Get a File

Read one File’s immutable metadata by ID — filename, media type, byte size, and content digest. The body is not returned; File is the organization-addressable attachment blob that other APIs accept by ID. To place it inside a sandbox, attach a read-only File mount to a Session with its file_id and an absolute mount_path. A File body above the 10 MiB mount ceiling remains an attachment and cannot be mounted directly; represent mountable content as Project files only when each file and the complete revision fit the Project limits.
