Sources work best when you select the right pages and give AI clear direction. Here’s how to get good results.

Selecting Pages

When generating a project:
  1. Click Add Sources
  2. Pick a source document
  3. Choose specific pages (don’t select entire textbooks)
  4. Add a label explaining what each page is for

Good Page Selection

Choose only the most relevant pages. Too many pages dilutes AI’s focus.
If you want content styled like your source, include example pages.
Use labels like “Problem format example” or “Standards reference” to help AI understand how to use each page.

Common Uses

Match Your Curriculum

Upload your curriculum guide or scope and sequence:
"Create a worksheet on equivalent fractions following
the progression on pages 23-25 of the curriculum guide"

Copy Textbook Style

Upload pages from your textbook:
"Generate practice problems in the same style as
the examples on page 47"

Align to Standards

Upload your standards document:
"Create an assessment covering standard 3.NF.A.1
as described in the attached standards"

Update Old Materials

Upload an old worksheet:
"Create a new version of this worksheet with
different numbers and updated formatting"

Tips for Better Results

Use clear scans

High-quality uploads produce better results.

Text-searchable PDFs work best

PDFs with selectable text work better than scanned images.

Upload just what you need

Specific pages work better than entire textbooks.

Name files clearly

“Grade 3 Math Standards” is better than “Document1.pdf”
